Once you have subscribed, that e-mail address is entered as paid, in the subscription database software. Each time you play, your e-mail address is checked by the software, and if it is found as subscribed, it lets you continue playing, this only takes a few milliseconds. It is VITAL players only use their subscribed e-mail addresses, for all of their games.
I've run out of pieces of my colour - can I have more reinforcements? I'm not aware of any version of the rules that states that the numbers of pieces of your colour is intended to restrict your maximum military size. However, some other games do indeed do this, and it could be an interesting house rule. It is probably worth checking all players have the same number of pieces available to make this fair - my own set doesn't have quite the same number of each colour, perhaps due to some being lost over the years.The missions make for a much faster game with more uncertainty -- the strongest looking player may be nowhere near winning.
Are there different versions of the rules? Yes, several. There have been a large number of different versions published in the U.K. alone. In the U.S. the rules have been copyrighted six times: 1959, 1963, 1975, 1980, 1990, and 1993. The 1963 edition refers to the 1959 version as "the original French rules". It includes an essay by Robert Asprin called "Myth-Chief: The Magic of Aahz and Skeeve" where Asprin explains how Aahz and Skeeve should be used in a role-playing game and gives several details as to how magic works in the Myth series.You may NOT actually be missing any card(s). Depending on the season set, some collation was required. Any missing card(s) are most likely with another team.
