Cheat Codes Up the Value of Your Games

By Fabian Toulouse

Want more for your money? Cheat. When it comes to video games, there is no shame in taking advantage of the built in features and unlockables installed by game manufacturers. Although some purists stuck in the Dark Ages turn up their noses at using cheats, video game cheats exist for lots of good reasons and are meant to be accessed.

There has hardly ever been a game in history which did not have cheats. Cheats were added by game makers from the beginning to speed up play-testing before the game's release. When manufacturers forgot to ditch the cheats before marketing the games, players soon discovered them and took advantage. While you had to be a genius to be able to cheat on the old computer games, through the evolution of modern games and game consoles manufacturers picked up on the popularity of cheats and began actually building them into the games.

Cheat codes are good for several reasons. Non-serious gamers love them because they are time savers. With cheats, you can skip levels that are too challenging or which you have already beaten. Since cheats allow you to change lots of aspects of the game and find hidden stuff, they make game replay way more cool. Some cheats can make a game more unusual or more challenging; some are just amusing, like big head mode or rioting pedestrians. Some let you storm your way through the world of a game completely invincible in God mode; meanwhile "minime" makes your character so tiny that it cannot be hit in close range fighting.

It doesn't take a genius to see how cheats enhance game-play and add value. Cheats aren't a cop-out, in fact, they make a game more open-ended and creative. So let the stick-in-the-muds stay stuck on level nine for the rest of their natural lives. Everyone else can punch in the cheat and get moving!

It's never been simpler to get to the highest levels of a game. Often, all you need is that little something that get you past hordes of zombies or thousands of invading troops. Indeed, effective cheats are ones that help, not overshadow. Of course, it is fun to mow down the zombie hordes, level after level with unlimited ammunition, but often that gets real old, real fast. Using cheats sparingly is a real art.

Mario Kart on Nintendo wii is a real crowd pleaser

By hailierose11

Some racing games slavishly copy real-life technology, boasting breathtaking verisimilitude and leave the pistons of the most socially challenged petrol head pumping furiously.

Jumps, Stunts, drifts, mushrooms and environmental accelerators all deliver break neck burst that combined with attention to the racing line, and adroit control of your rear end ensure that what initially ppears to be a cartoonish romp, actually poses a sophisticated technical challenge for the user.

The player needs to persevere until you have the beasts under control as the intermediate (100 cc) races are initially for bikes only .The 50 cc stages are exclusively for Karts and only when you scale the heights of the 150 cc you have a choice between the two.

Jumps, Stunts, Drifts, mushrooms and environmental accelerators all deliver break neck burst that, combined with attention to the racing line and full control of your back end , ensure that what initially appears to be a cartoonish romp, actually poses a sophisticated technical challenge.

Complete all eight championships (16 new tracks,16 reprises of older tracks from old Mario Karts) and you can drive whatever and wherever you want.

Multi-player and online options do most of what you expect with the latter making sence of the twelve vehicle races that can seem cluttered and pointless when at least eight of them are computer controlled.

Of the twelve vehicle races eight of the vehicles are actually computer controlled thereby giving four players actual control.

In my opinion this is the best game on the console since Super Mario Galaxy and a worthy addition to a fifteen year old series.

Xbox 360 Achievements: What is it?

By Peter de Walt

Video games now reach many different markets instead of just previously adolescent males. The first gamers have grown up, had families, and now people from many age groups play games like those of the Xbox 360. Also, women have made strong gains in the numbers that play video games. All in all, video games, like those of an interactive nature, now feature every social and cultural group. They also have shown to be wanting something to show for their gaming time, and Microsoft has answered their call in its Xbox Live service called Xbox 360 Achievements.

Display of Skill

Xbox 360 Achievements has a many objectives for the game. For example, Halo 3 has a variety of achievements that players can complete offline in single player. Completing each of the nine campaign missions on different levels will finish an achievement. Also, earning rank level, or being the Most Valuable Player in a match, while online, will also complete Xbox 360 Achievements rating. Each game has a number of achievements that players can complete for. Players then receive a number of points for each achievement that they complete.

The important part of the Xbox 360 Achievements is that others can see other players' scores live online. This lets game players to show high scores to anybody online, world wide via the internet. Many of the achievements are difficult or almost impossible to achieve. These achievements can be shown as to how good a player really is. Achievements are a way of letting others see how good you really are, and, does not allow for cheating the system- its proof of results.

With many players utilizing Xbox Live's services, Xbox 360 Achievements has set the example of how to get gamers more interactive and at the same time get a reason for recurring income on a monthly basis. Microsoft has found a way to appeal to the ego of the game player (which was always big anyway). In the future you will see more and more options which allow the player to interact with others online and display the results in a live environment like this. Xbox 360 Achievements allows players to take pride in their accomplishments worldwide, letting them show how good they really are. Who knows could this build self esteem in teens?

What's the Fuzz about Wii Fit?

By Patrik Gisselsson

The long awaited Wii Fit game launched with success outperforming all play.com's records by selling out their entire stock in one single day. It looks like Nintedo has got another hot selling title under their belt, this one aiming to be the fastest selling Wii game ever.

Opening the Wii Fit package you'll find the actual game and a wireless Balance Board. When layed on the floor in front of your TV, this board is used to interact with the game using it's pressure sensitive technology. It picks upp all directional shifts in balance which is used for different game variations.

The big question people have been asking "can this really get you fit?" In fact several studies have claimed that Wii games can help you with fitness and even promote weight loss because they're so physical. John Moores University in Liverpool found that users could lose up to 12kg a year from exercising daily using Wii Sports sessions

There are around 40 different exercises included in Wii Fit. They are divided into four categories: Aerobic exercise, Muscle conditioning, Yoga poses and Balance games. Examples of the training activities are:

Step Aerobic Exercise: In this game you need to step on and off the Balance Board to music being played in the background.

Muscle Conditioning: Wii fit features controlled motions using arms, legs and other body parts.

Yoga exercise: Classic poses in Wii Fit focus on balance and stretching.

Ski jumping: Squat as low as possible while maintaining balance and hen quickly stand up as fast as possible in order to do a good jump.

Balance games: Several cool activites, such as soccer ball heading and hula hooping that challenges the Wii player's overall balance

The Wii Balance board doesn't end with Wii Fit. Nintendo has already planned at least 10 more games that will support it's unique balance-based interface. All kind of games from fighting to sports games that suit this kind of controller.

Use the Wii Balance Board for daily Wii Fit tests: Tests offered by the Wii Fit evaluate two key measures that everyone can track via progress charts:

Body Mass Index (BMI): A weight calculation based on a ratio of weight to height. Wii Fit Age: Mesured by factoring the Wii Fit player's BMI reading, testing the users's center of gravity and conducting quick balance tests.

The Wii balance board has a weight limit of 136kg so if you want to use it and your already over that weight you'll have to start loosing weight now!! Once your down to the weight limit and you start using the wii fit board im sure the weight will drop off you and you'll be as fit as a butchers dog!

Good News For PSP Owners! Here's How To Download PSP Games!

By Dave Freemand

If you're the lucky owner of a PSP there's a good chance you have heard about the ability to download games, movies and music and use them on your system. It's a great way to keep your PSP stocked with all the newest games and make sure you never get bored! One of the most common questions we get from PSP users is "How Do I Download PSP Games?"

There are a couple of options for this so let's take a closer look into it shall we?

The first thing you should remember when looking for downloadable games is that you get what you pay for. This is especially true for sites that say they offer free games, movies, music and more for PSPs. Free sites usually give you a lot more than free downloads and I don't mean that as a good thing. You will find that many games, movies and music come with viruses and spyware attached.

These websites do not make any money and because of this their downloads are provided by random people. The downloads are not official and many times end up being corrupt, or in other words they do not work right or at all. Downloads speeds are usually very slow and many times you will find that what you downloaded was not what it was supposed to be.

Obviously we aren't about to recommend these websites. They are just too risky and can waste a lot of your time as well!

The best way to download PSP games is to join a "membership" site that specializes in PSP downloads. You will have to pay a small fee, but it easily pays for itself after a download or two. By joining this type of website, you are dealing with a reputable business that invests money in making sure that all downloads work, are downloaded quickly and are guaranteed to be 100% virus and spyware free.

It always surprises me that there aren't more people using these websites. The cost of one of these sites is less than the price of one new game and your membership gives you access to unlimited PSP game downloads (along with movies, music, roms etc). The best sites will also provide you with the software you need to transfer the files to your PSP.

The best paid sites are the ones that only charge the one time fee. For a small fee of $30 to $50 you will be able to download whatever you want without ever having to spend another dime. By choosing sites like these you are ensured that you are downloading from reputable businesses. These businesses work hard to make sure their downloads work, download quickly and are virus and spyware free.

Once you start to download PSP games it's pretty incredible how quickly you can build up a large library of games and movies. It's the sure-fire way to make sure you always have a new game to try when you need one!

World of warcraft hunter mastery guide

By Shane Fenham

World of Wacraft Hunters are the wild beast tamers in the game. They are excellent in all aspects of outdoor survival. Their skills in wow include ranged weapons specialization, using pets in combat, melee fighting ability, ability to set traps, assuming beast "aspects" to enhance agility and speed and and tracking ability.

1. Ranged fighting They are the most specialized class for ranged weapons which include use of up to 4 sting types that act as de-buffs on targets. And also shots like Arcane Shot Auto Shot and then Steady Shot.

2. Melee combat: Hunters can melee fight but not as well as other tanking classes. But it comes in handy when the target is too close too shoot at, or if the pet is otherwise engaged or stunned.

3. Pets are the most important combat weapon of the Hunter. They add to the DPS (Damage Per Second) of the Hunter allowing them to finish off opponents faster. They also act as tanks diverting the focus of enemies attack away as the Hunter finishes them off from a distance with their bow or gun.

4. Traps: At their disposal hunters have up to 5 traps used for crowd control, and to cause damage . Traps have a cool down period of 30 seconds. Once a trap is set another can be set up immediately afterwards. Here are the kind of traps available to hunters:

Freezing Trap - freezes approaching enemies.

Freezing Trap - freezes approaching enemies.

Immolation Trap - Burns enemies over 15 sec period.

Explosive Trap - Explodes as enemy approaches causing fire damage.

5. Aspects Hunters assume up to seven aspects gained as part of the "beast mastery" tree that grant special abilities, such as increased dodge, improved running speed, or even additional nature resistance. The seven available hunter aspects are:

- Aspect of the Monkey: This can increase the chance to dodge by 8%.

Aspect of the Hawk: Increases "ranged" attack by "x" amount depending on level

Aspect of the Cheetah: Can speed up the hunter speed by 30% but can also daze him for 4 seconds if suffering damage.

- Aspect of the Beast: Allows hunters to become undetectable.

Aspect of the Pack: The hunter and his/her group assume the characteristics of a pack of cheetahs, increasing all their movement speeds by 30%. When a pack member takes damage, it will daze them for a 4 second period.

Aspect of the Wild: The Hunter and his group take on the characteristics of the wilderness, gaining +X resistance to Nature damage.

Aspect of the Viper: Regenerates mana equal to 55% of his intellect every 5 seconds

6. Tracking Can track 8 types of creatures or items in the game. Only one can be acive at a time. Type of beings they can track are: Beasts, Humanoids, Undead, Hidden, Elementals, Demons, Giants, and Dragonkin.

All the above abilities in this short WoW hunter guide point to the hunter being the best class to sole when you level up. Warlocks are equally as good but play different. Looking at forums, most who have used both classes tend to prefer hunters but this is subjective. The only weakness they have is when they are unable to use ranged weapons though they have limited melee abilities. All in all this is one of the most popular classes in wow due to its variety, versatility and power.

World of Warcraft Shaman Secrets

By Philip Artosa

When writing a world of warcraft Guide about Shamans you could easily do it by merging a world of warcraft guide for warriors, mages or any healer class. Or you could even make the mistake of mistaking Shamans for Druids, because, just like Druids, Shamans are a hybrid class capable of tanking, healing and casting. However you might be told that they do not perhaps perform these abilities as well as specialist tank classes like warriors, or healing classes like priests or a caster class like Mages. There might be a case for thinking this way but consider this: the Druid can heal in tree form tank while in bear form, do dps while in cat form, the Shamans can do all these things - at the same time! This is where their real power manifests itself whether played as a solo class or with a group.

What makes the Shaman unique is their use of totems which when fixed on the ground gives them and other group members a wide range of benefits such as healing and aid when fighting opponents. It's the use of totems and how to use them effectively which is what makes playing a Shaman an exciting and challenging experience. There are four types of totems: Earth, Fire, Water and Air and each require split second decision and sound judgement when used in tricky combat situation or group play. Shamans have also the ability to resurrect themselves and others in their group using the Reincarnation spell every hour of played time; this can also be reduced to 40 minutes as they assign more talent points to that ability. Another great asset to any group and a great ability to have if you solo.

After the release of the Burning Crusade expansion, the Shaman class is no longer restricted to the Horde faction. The Dranei race in the Alliance faction can also play Shaman, and of all the classes for them to choose this is arguably the best one for them to choose thanks to various attributes unique to this new race.

Upon reaching level 70, you can specialize your Shammy as either an Elemental, Enhancement or Restoration Shaman. Each of these trees has their own unique abilities. For the Elemental tree, the focus is on abilities for high damage casting and this is the best choice if you want to power level fast. On the other hand the restoration tree focused Shamans will possess more effective healing abilities making them later in the game useful back up casters and healers

This short world of warcraft guide on shamans only scratches the surface when describing this complex and multi talented class. It's a class that is described as jack of all trades and master of none. But this is what makes them fascinating to play, because as you play it you will be able to determine whether you enjoy casting, tanking or healing. And make no mistake, Shamans can master all of these skills just as proficiently as any of the classes that are more specialized in them, making them expert of all of these abilities and definitely the jack of none. And find out at your peril if you belong to a class that thinks this.

How to download music to your PSP

By Jake Robertson

More and more people want to download music to their PSP game console.

The Sony PSP was not actually designed for the purpose of playing music. It was created to be a mobile 3D-game machine, a bit like the GameBoy was for the 2D world.

It happens quite often however that these technical gadgets get used for other things that what the original creators had in mind.

The PSP is perfectly capable of playing both music and movies and the sound quality is excellent.

You can buy songs on UMD, which is the PSP media format, although these are not commonly sold. The easiest way to get music on to your PSP is to copy files on to it from your hard drive.

If you want to put audio CD tracks on your PSP, you will have to convert the music first, by transferring it on to your PC, and then move them on to your PSP.

Here is what you need: a PSP-memory card large enough to store the music files, a USB cable to connect the PSP to your computer and a CD ripping software in case you want to convetr your existing audio CD collection to the PSP.

You can also get software that takes care of all of that. It can extract the music from the CDs, convert them into the right format for the PSP and then transfer them on to the PSP.

Some pieces of software like this can also compile a music library on your computer and remember which songs you have on your PSP so you won't accidentally put them on twice and waste memory.

If you have one of these programs, you just need to connect your PSP to your computer, start the program and press the "synchronize" button.

When downloading music to your PSP, you have the advantage that it does not use a proprietary format like iTunes with iPod. This means that, although the PSP is not a full-blown music player like the iPod, it is certainly a game console with the ability to play your favorite MP3s.

A Look At Flash Games And Education Standards

By Chris Channing

Flash games have come a long way since the 1990's, when they were commonly barbaric in design and structure. Today it is not uncommon to see full-length games being created on Macromedia's increasingly popular platform. But what does the industry movement mean to graphics arts students?

Current Education Standards

There are several technology-based degrees that demand some sort of interaction with Macromedia Flash. Programming students may dabble in ActionScript, whereas graphical arts students will be using the program to animate and draw their designs.

Flash game developers and regular video game developers are fairly different in design- meaning not every video game developer will want to give their hand at developing a flash game. However, employers are starting to put more weight into Flash development, as production times are generally smaller- although Flash is generally limited as compared to other video game development platforms.

Indeed, Flash isn't always a "serious" platform for debuting a video game. Flash is limited in several areas of functionality, but it still has phenomenally short development times and it remains robust for several types of applications.

Higher levels of learning generally leave Flash behind. There are just simply better platforms for doing what Flash does. Java, for instance, can make impressive online Internet games. Graphics artists are also shifting towards 3D modeling- which is fast becoming a high-paying industry.

The Longevity Of Flash Games

Flash games continue to push the standards each day. Whereas a fully 3D game was impossible just years ago, there have been impressive demo engines that show complete support for 3D operation. While it is unlikely that flash game developers will move primarily onto 3D game development any time soon, it is surely a sign of things to come.

The level of interactivity in Flash games is becoming quit exciting- Flash developers are now implementing technologies such as webcam usage to let users play games with their body- not their keyboard and mouse!

Another innovative feature flash games are making use of is the microphone. It seems like a fairly basic feature to have in games- but you would be surprised to know that it's rather hard to find any flash games that even support avid usage of one's microphone. In the coming years, we can only hope flash game developers get creative and incorporate more interactive features in their games.

Final Thoughts on Flash Games

The hard part about predicting the future is that we aren't sure what technologies are going to come out for developers to take advantage of. A perfect example is the fact that 3D games in flash are now possible- whereas flash started out as a very limited program. Clearly, we can only wait with eagerness as more developers engage in flash development and evolve the current views on flash games in general.

Xbox 360 Power Supply: kicking it into gear

By Peter M Vizard

Most gamers probably never think about how much power video consoles eat up, but on average, some systems use more than any other items in the living room. The Xbox 360 more than twice that of the original Xbox and other consoles available. The Xbox 360 power supply is huge, and is the source of many jokes. The Xbox 360 power supply is so large in fact that many gamers have multiple adapters to leave at different houses However, with so much power in such a condensed space, it is no wonder that the Xbox 360 has power based problems.

Troubleshoot the Xbox 360

As a new video game console, the Xbox 360, has already had many complaints. It many hardware failures due to overheating. The Xbox 360 power supply overheats a lot, especially when it is hidden beneath shelves, in cabinets or on carpets. With such a large frame and such a large current, the AC adapter needs to breathe; it needs to be exposed to fresh air in order to cool down. Some fanatical game players even hang their AC adapters on ropes, exposing them to as much air as possible. Players say that their Xbox 360 systems no longer freeze every 20 minutes.

Many companies have sought to introduce an Xbox 360 power supply less prone to overheating. Similar to PCs with built-in fans, these supplies have proven even less reliable than the official Microsoft versions.

Many third-party companies have sought to introduce an Xbox 360 power supply Modeling the units after PC equipment, they come with built-in fans. However, these units are often even less reliable than the official Microsoft versions. Microsoft has said they are developing a better, stronger Xbox 360 power supply. Many gamers have taken the problem into there own hands, by modifying existing power units. They have literally constructed, from parts, products that seem to work better than the originals. While there is always a risk in modifying the Xbox 360, including the loss of the warranty, desperate times call for desperate measures, and many players refuse to suffer through interrupted game play anymore due to the poor Xbox 360 power supply.

Discover How To Find Free PSP Downloads - Games, Movies & Music!

By Dave Freeman

It seems that everyone today has a PSP. This is already the most popular portable gaming system by far, and its user base just continues to grow. In view of this, we decided it would be a useful thing to provide a short look at how to find free PSP game downloads.

Rather than buy new games, many choose to simply utilize PSP game downloads. Not only cheap but convenient (you can get new games while in your pajamas!), it's as simple as opening a web browser.

Without further ado, here are three ways to find those free PSP downloads.

Option One: Free PSP Game Downloads

As a first step, a lot of people on the lookout for free PSP downloads simply employ a search engine. They enter "free PSP downloads" into Google, etc. and have a look.

Does this actually work?

Sadly, nothing useful appears. While there will be sites offering "free PSP game downloads", there will always be a catch (or a few). Be wary of these sites.

Sites like these are a great place to get your computer infected with all manner of viruses and spyware. Sadly, there are malicious characters out there who upload infected files to these sites - and they tend to be loosely monitored, if they are at all.

One of our biggest beefs with these sites is that the download speeds are insanely slow. Since there isn't any money being invested in the websites so the downloads can seem to take forever.

Corrupt, unplayable files are another problem here. As if it wasn't bad enough to have taken forever to download a file, you may well finally get it only to find it won't work - having wasted your time and causing you aggravation.

Obviously, we're not going to recommend you use any of these sites. Approach them with great caution and at your own risk.

Option #2 - How To Find Free PSP Downloads

After giving up on the first option, hopefully with your machine still intact, some try for this.

There are membership-only websites offering PSP downloads. You can download whatever you want, whenever you want (including PSP games, of course), for a monthly fee, generally around $30.

We're going to leave this option at this, because there is an even better way to get those PSP downloads.

Option #3 - How To Find PSP Downloads

As you might have guessed, we saved our 'top pick' for last. This final option is what we recommend choosing if you want to use PSP game downloads on your PSP.

There are PSP game download membership sites that offer unlimited downloads for a one-time only membership fee. Instead of having to pay each month, you are only billed once and can then download games or movies whenever you want for as long as you have your PSP.

Membership in these sites costs anywhere between $30 and $50, and include the software you'll need to get your downloads where you need them to be: your PSP.

You'll find a link immediately following this article which will point you towards some of these sites, where you can learn more and even get a free trial membership. Setup is quick and easy with these; the very best of the best of PSP download sites.

Unlike the sites discussed in option #1, these sites are run by companies who invest in them. They have the motivation to make sure their customers are well taken care of, lest their reputation suffer. Because of this, they make sure downloads are fast and files are checked before being made available for download, as well as ensuring access to all of the latest PSP games.

As more and more people start to download PSP games we can only imagine that game sales will drop quite drastically at the stores. Using PSP game downloads is a far cheaper and more convenient way of keeping your PSP stocked with all the games and movies you want. Enjoy!

PSP Game Downloads - Where To Get Them?

By P S Phillips

If you are wondering about how to download games on to your PSP that you have recently got then there is need to worry with an internet connection it is pretty simple really. Today there are now a number of different ways in which a person can get PSP game downloads for their device.

You have the choice of using those websites that in some cases offer the downloads for free or you can go with the option of joining a membership site. The problem with free ones is that they are often illegal and as you download the game you may be downloading other files as well such as malware, adware or spyware on to your PC.

You can either join one where you will be expected to pay either a yearly or monthly subscription fee or there are ones which just you require you to pay a one time life time membership fee. Both of these kinds of sites will then generally allow you unlimited access to all the games that they have stored within their databases.

Actually downloading the games on to your PSP from such sites is very simple and easy to do. But before you start downloading you need to make sure that you have the right software installed on your PC or Laptop. Certainly with a lot of the more reputable membership sites that will offer this kind of software for you to download for free.

Then once you have got the software for transferring the downloads from your PC or laptop then you can start searching for the games you are interested in. If you can go for a site that provides you with easy to follow instructions that are carried out step by step and which will ensure that you get the right game downloaded on to your PSP.

After you have downloaded the game on to your PC or laptop it is now time to transfer the game over to your PSP. In order to achieve this you will need either a USB cable which plugs directly into your PC and PSP or a memory stick. With the USB cable it is simply a case of plugging the two ends in to the co-ordinating points on your PC and PSP and then transferring the file which the game is in from one to the other.

In most cases as soon as any external device is connected to your PC or laptop through a USB cable or just with a memory stick being plugged in a message appears on the screen in front of you. Normally the message that appears will say something like "New Device Connected". Once this message has appeared you just simply transfer the game that you have downloaded and saved on your PC or laptop on to the PSP. It only takes a few minutes and in most cases instructions are provided which tell you how to make the transfer.

So if you really are looking for a quick and inexpensive way of getting PSP game downloads then you should do a search of the internet and see what comes up. Just keying in the words "PSP game downloads" in any search engine such as Google will provide you with a large number of results.

The Easy Way To Find XBOX 360 Game Downloads You Can Use Today!

By Tommy Paxton

We wanted to put together a quick article showing Xbox 360 owners how they can download full games they can use on their Xbox.

It's a very common question that we receive by email - 'How do I download Xbox 360 games?' Let's go over the different options you have so you know how to download games for your Xbox 360 right away.

First option: Xbox 360 downloads

This is one way and it's probably the most used way that people download games for the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, it's not the best way though. Many websites offer free Xbox downloads, but then they also ask you to install their software so that you can start downloading movies and games. Although this sounds like a good deal, you need to be aware of a few things before you use these websites.

First of all, and perhaps most importantly, these websites often spread viruses and spyware. This makes these games not "free" after all. You'll get a download, yes, but you also get a lot of problems with your computer as well. These files are often not monitored by anyone, which puts you at greater risk. It's not worth it for a "free" game. Better not to take the risk.

The second thing you need to know is that download speeds are often so slow on these sites that it takes forever to get your download. In many cases, it can take days for a download to finish, which isn't worth it.

Worse yet, these files are also often corrupt, which means they don't work after all. Do you really want to sit and take so long (sometimes literally days) to download a game that not only might give you a virus and/or spyware, but might also not work after all? Simply put, we recommend that you stay away from these sites.

Therefore, we recommend that you simply stay away from these sites, since they are more trouble than they're worth and you could have your computer completely wiped out, or worse, could even be hacked into or become a victim of identity theft.

Option #2 - XBOX 360 Game Downloads

Choosing this option will get you much improved results versus the first one. You can download just about any game you want to without having to worry about viruses or spyware, slow download speeds, or corrupt files.

Xbox 360 downloads have been in hot demand for a long time, and a few businesspeople smartly decided that this trend was worth capitalizing on. So, they started specialized Xbox 360 download websites. These websites let you register as a member, and then you can download games, music, movies and more right from your computer once you have done so. These sites cost you about $50 for a lifetime membership, but you'll be billed only once for downloads that are unlimited. After this, you can log into the website whenever you want to download a new game, movie, etc.

The membership costs less than the price of most single copy games and lets you download as many games as you want. It's a great way to try out new games without spending any more money than your initial fee. If you want to look at it this way, it's like buying one game and then getting every other copy you ever download for free. What's not to like about that?

The selection of games and movies is definately impressive. Their "library" of files is massive and it includes new releases along with games that you may not find any longer in the stores.

Obviously the companies that put together these xbox 360 download websites are hoping to make a profit, so they do what it takes to keep their customers happy. They invest money in the software to make sure the downloads are fast, the games are always up to date and that every single game you download will actually work on your system.

At the bottom of this article, there's a link that will take you to a free trial of a couple of the most popular Xbox 360 download websites. In about 5 or 10 minutes, you'll be all set and you can download all the software you'll need to use the games.

Now, doesn't this sound much easier and less expensive in the long run when it comes to downloading your Xbox 360 games? What's surprising is that more people are members just yet, but it's probably because they don't know about this. Rest assured that they will.

When you begin to use Xbox 360 downloads, you'll likely find yourself with your own large library of games and movies to choose from. It's a much easier and cheaper way to find Xbox games whenever you want to. One little warning is that it's very easy to become addicted, but perhaps that's not a bad thing. Have fun!

Hey PSP Owners - Here's How To Use PSP Game Downloads!

By Dave Freeman

Anyone who has a PSP knows by now that somewhere on the internet are places where they can download PSP games, movies and music to play on their PSP. This would keep your PSP stocked with all of the new games and other files to keep boredom from ever reaching you. "How do I download PSP games?" is a question we get a lot around here, and if you're one of those who has been asking, you're in luck. We're here to help you with the answer to this.

You have a few options to download psp games - some are risky and others are not. Let's take a closer look at what I mean.

You will probably run across a few website that offer "free" PSP game downloads. However, the old saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind here! Since you aren't paying a dime, these websites have all sorts of problems associated with them. In fact, several have been shut down in recent months for distributing viruses, spyware and other infections.

Since these websites don't pull in any profit, the files are usually just provided by random people on the internet. They aren't "official" game downloads and often end up being corrupt (meaning they don't work at all). The download speeds are incredibly slow and you will often find that what you download ends up being a completely different file than you searched for.

Obviously, I am no friend of these "free" PSP download websites. They are at best a waste of your time, and at worst can do serious damage to your computer.

Membership sites are really your best bet for downloading PSP games. They are not free, but are typically not very expensive. These fees are more than offset by even a few downloads. These sites are run like a business, because they are businesses. They put some care into ensuring that the files hosted on their site are free of viruses and other threats, and are tested to make sure that they work.

It always surprises me that there aren't more people using these websites. The cost of one of these sites is less than the price of one new game and your membership gives you access to unlimited PSP game downloads (along with movies, music, roms etc). The best sites will also provide you with the software you need to transfer the files to your PSP.

The membership sites charging a one-time fee are your best bet. For as little as $30, you can have a lifetime membership and download anything at any time. There are others that offer monthly fees, or on a per-download basis, but these are not such a good deal.

One of the best features of the PSP is the ability to download games, movies and music instead of having to but them at the stores. Not only will it save you a lot of money in the long-run, but you will als be sure your PSP is fully stocked with the newest games without ever having to make a trip to the store. Happy gaming!

Got A Nintendo Wii? Here's How You Can Download Wii Games!

By Scott Frayburn

If you already have a Nintendo Wii (lucky you!) you're going to want some games for your system.

We get an email from someone asking how they download Wii games almost everyday, so I thought I would sit down and put a quick guide together that shows you how to download Wii games.

When you know how to download Wii games, you can save yourself a whackload of cash. You no longer have to run out to the store each time you want to try something new.

Ok - let's get to the good stuff! Here are a couple of options for downloading Wii games.

You have two main options that you can choose from:

Option #1 - Wii Game Downloads

You can find a few websites out on the internet that claim to offer "free Wii downloads". They tempt you to download their software so that you can download these "free" games.

A lot of people will rush to try this out, but you need to be aware of the risks that are attached to these sites.

These websites have built a bad reputation of distributing both viruses and spyware to computers. Recently a couple of websites have been shut down for this exact reason - you never know what you are downloading unfortunately.

This is commonplace at these websites - many users have damaged their computers since the files aren't ever monitored. All sorts of infected files make their way onto these types of sites.

Another issue with these websites is that the speeds are extremely slow. The downloads can seem to take forever - it's not unusual to wait over a day just for one game to finish downloading. There's also a lot of game files that don't even work when you try to use them - the files are "corrupt" so they don't work whatsoever.

This is not an option that gets our recommendation. You can cause damage to your computer and there are much easier ways to get downloads that are guaranteed to work.

Option #2 - Nintendo Wii Downloads

There's a much better way to find Wii game downloads that are guaranteed to work. Plus, you won't have to worry about viruses or spyware.

As the Nintendo Wii was setting all sorts of sales records, a few smart businesses decided to build Nintendo Wii websites that specialize in offering Wii game downloads. These sites not only offer games for download, but you can also find movies, TV shows and music that you can use on your Wii.

These sites are membership based, with a lifetime membership costing usually only about $50 and allowing instant access to any Wii games or movies on the site 24/7.

For anyone with a Wii, this will save them a small fortune when building their Wii games library. Just compare with prices in any store selling games. Movies and music are available as well, sweetening the deal.

Setup for these sites is quick and painless, usually taking no more than ten minutes to install and configure the necessary software to get those files onto your Wii where you can enjoy them. Following this article you'll find a link that will let you take a look at the most popular Wii download sites. You can even get a free trial, and see all that these sites have to offer you.

When you do start to download Wii games, movies and more at these websites you can easily build up a large selection of games for your system. Perhaps we should give you one warning though - it's extremely addictive!

PC Games: A History And Outlook To The Future

By Chris Channing

Only a decade ago we were all enjoying the simple pixel graphics and poorly animated visuals of PC games. This was back in a time where things such as DirectX were new technologies- and operating systems had little support for video games. It's ironic to see that today you'll be hard pressed to find any kind of PC without some type of game on it.

As we progress to newer technologies in virtual reality, perceptual realism, and bridge the gap to reality in video games- we can't help but look back at the landmarks along the way that got us where we are today.

Peripherals In Relation to PC Games

Peripherals are simply any type of controller or means of input that can interact with an object on your PC. They are used to help simulate lifelike experiences, such as driving a car or flying an airplane. Some peripherals even simulate hunting and other shooting games, with highly advanced technology that simulates the "real thing."

But the most common PC game peripherals are gamepads- surely not the most advanced, but the most common. Gamepads are popular for making the playing experience easier- not necessarily more lifelike. A first person shooter player may, for instance, use a gamepad to use "hot keys" to do certain commands- such as talking to teammates or changing weapons.

PC Games and Graphics

Graphics in the 1990's were limited to fairly crude visuals. Sure, cut-scenes were able to make stunning appearances to PC gamers, but actual in-game graphics were lacking. This was due mostly in part to the fact that the hardware at the time could not handle the extra work associated with better quality graphics.

In this day and age, it's hard to find games that are successful and still make use of 2D graphics. Given, there are exceptions, but the norm is that 3D games have taken over. 3D graphics give PC gamers a more real experience, so PC game developers are shifting towards both 3D and virtual reality markets.

Society And PC Games

It seems that everywhere you look there is another MMORPG or RPG PC game that is taking over countries all over the world by storm. Some such as World of Warcraft are even pulling in over 5 million users each month in online game play.

Clearly, PC games have become important to society as we know it. The only thing left to ponder is what PC games will be like in the future.

PC Games and the Future

The foundations of virtual reality are already being developed. We already have the ability to use brain waves to move objects in PC games- the interesting part will be to see where the technology goes, and how far we take it.

Another interesting technology is holographic technology. This type of technology allows for humans to interacts with photons of light, meaning that we can interact with fake objects! This is truly a remarkable technology, and we can only hope that its debut it PC gaming will be swift in the coming decades.
